The Virginia Humanities commissioned me to design a limited edition commemorative fine art poster run of 50 prints. The design from the fine art prints were then used through out the marketing advertisements for the festival in media such as websites, catalogs, and digital reproduction posters. The concept for the design was that books create a bridge between time, culture, and language and connect us a humans as a whole. Starting as a pencil sketch, the poster culminated in a 3 block hand-carved relief print.
