I had the amazing opportunity in 2013 to collaborate with the dear late Frank Riccio on a small edition of miniature books called Poison Sisters. Frank and I worked together to bring the tale of two unlikely sisters Belladonna and Datura to life. Both at once medicine and poison, Datura of North America and Belladonna of Europe shared vilification and veneration in human society. Full of illustrations from both of us as well as hand-cut pop-up structures, this accordion fold miniature book features letterpress, Italian marbled paper covers, and Japanese silk book cloth.
