I was commissioned by the Virginia Festival of the Book to create the 25th Anniversary commemorative poster. It is a highly detailed print of books bridging the gaps of time, age, gender, culture, distance, and probably many more. It was executed in 3 separate blocks and printed on an antique letterpress printing machine.

The Victory Hall Opera company chose me as their 2016 Artist in the Audience. I experienced their rendition of Der Rosenkavalier and then created posters inspired by the performance. This one is titled “Bound Heart."

I was commissioned in 2019 to complete an edition of broadside prints for the UVA Foundation. They chose poet laureate Rita Dove’s “Dawn Revisited” and it was an honor and inspiration to be able to create this.

Dragonflies and Damselflies guided my way down the river one summer afternoon. This was a single carved block inspired by a boating trip down one of our local rivers.

This kirin was printed in the traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique with hand-ground pigments mixed in rice paste. It uses 4 different blocks to create a single image.

The Haven “Welcome Home” Card Design 2015 – The Haven Shelter commissioned local artists to create art and items for the new apartments for the local homeless. I created a gate folded card of a porch seen that opened to say “Welcome Home!”

We had the biggest guard toad of all sit for a portrait one day. Fatter Fat was the best toad ever!

This is a block I carved for a book plate involving the phases of the moon. It was used for the illustrations in a Virgina Center for the Book’s 2012 annual project entitled “Atlas of Vanishing Knowledge.”
